Highmark does a lot with community service and charity, but they seem to have a partnership with United Way. One of the things they are doing this year is to allow employees to wear jeans every Friday if they donate a minimum of $3 per paycheck to the United Way. I am donating a little more than that per pay, so at the end of every week I don my little blue United Way wristband and throw on some denim. It's wonderful, really. Just that one extra option really expands my work wardrobe, and I'm doing a good deed...


We got groceries today, which is a first since we moved to the house. It was about time! The both of us could probably survive on cereal alone. I also got a new Brita because I'm a dumbass and completely forgot to clean anything out of the fridge at the apartment. So stupid.


I postal news, we got a totally rad postcard from Miltonka yesterday (thanks, dude)! I'm also expecting a CD from Amazon soon, which is always exciting. It's called "Happy Ever After" by Hoi Polloi, an "alternative Christian rock" band from the 90's. I honestly do think they were ahead of their time as far as Christian rock is concerned. I'm really looking forward to having the CD again. I still dunno where the original went...


Tonight is Canonsburg Elk's karaoke! I haven't been in a while, so I am REALLY looking forward to this! YAY!
